General Terms of Ahlberg Data
Confidentiality: Ahlberg Data guarantees that no information about the customer, their stored data, or the existence of a customer relationship will be disclosed or allowed to leak outside of Ahlberg Data or iTapsa Services Oy, under any circumstances. The only exception is if the device contains incriminating material related to a serious crime (e.g., murder, extortion). In such cases, Ahlberg Data Oy or iTapsa Services Oy will hand over the material to the authorities if they have a legal reason to request or take possession of it.
Ahlberg Data employees may need to access some content of the devices they handle as part of the data recovery process. Therefore, all employees are bound by strict confidentiality requirements. We take the protection of our customers’ privacy very seriously. iTapsa only acts as an intermediary and does not handle any content on the devices.
Ahlberg Data reserves the right to disassemble storage devices during the recovery process unless the customer provides a specific written prohibition before the process begins. The device will not be returned in its original assembled state, and opening the device will void the manufacturer’s warranty.
While Ahlberg Data typically achieves a recovery rate of 90-100% of data, we cannot guarantee that all files can be restored, as the final outcome is case-specific. Full charges will apply when 85% or more of the critical data has been recovered.
iTapsa is responsible for storage media and other items entrusted to its care for a maximum of three months. Items not picked up by the customer within one month will be disposed of unless other arrangements have been made with iTapsa. Before disposal, the device will be destroyed in a manner that renders it irretrievable to maintain confidentiality.
Pricing: Separate price lists apply for business and private customers. Prices include VAT only when the material is classified as private data and the payer is an individual.
Complaints must be submitted in writing to Ahlberg Data or iTapsa Services Oy within three (3) weeks of the completion of the work.
Ahlberg Data’s services are governed by the IT2022 YSE and EAP contract terms.
iTapsa invoices the agreed-upon costs directly to the customer. Payment can be made in-store using common bank and credit cards, by bank transfer, or through an installment agreement with Klarna. The customer agrees to pay the total costs, and the work will be handed over only after full payment has been received.
If the recovery measures yield a result but data recovery is not possible due to an incorrect lock code or password provided by the customer, iTapsa reserves the right to charge the full agreed costs. Additionally, a delivery and postage fee of EUR 29.90 will be charged to the customer.
